For further particulars apply at this Office.

Tenderers must produce a receipt that they have deposited in the Colonial Treasury the sum of $25 as a pledge of the bona fides of their tender, which sum shall be forfeited to the Crown if any tenderer fails or refuses to carry out his tender, should such tender be accepted.

The Government does not bind itself to accept the lowest or any tender.

NOTICE is hereby given that the light of Aki-saki Lighthouse on Aki-saki, Province of Bungo, has been discontinued for the present.

Further notice will be given after the light has been again exhibited.

INLAND SEA.

Newly Established Beacon Light to be shown.

NOTICE is hereby given that the newly established Sengai-se Lighted Beacon on Sengai-se, off Okikamuro-shima, Province of Suo, Inland Sea, will be shown as follows at the beginning of January, 1915:-

Sengai-se Lighted Beacon.

Position: Latitude 33° 49′ 21′′ N., Longitude 132° 21′ 38′′ E. (According to

the Japanese Admiralty chart No. 140.)

Description: Lower part circular, concrete, upper part iron lattice work, with

red and black horizontal bands.

Height of light:-32 shaku above the water.

Character of light :-Acetylene gas flashing white, showing one (1) flash every

five (5) seconds.

Illuminated arc:--The whole horizon.

Candle power:-150.

Visible distance:-11 nautical miles in clear night.

The beacon being unwatched, should the light go out by accident there may

be some delay in relighting it.

Further notice will be given after the above beacon has been lighted.
