No. 435. His Excellency the Governor has been pleased to approve Engineer- Lieutenant FREDERICK WILLIAM JAMES, R.N.R., being attached to the Engineer Company of the Hongkong Volunteer Corps, with the relative rank of Captain, with effect from the 14th September, 1915.

No. 437.--It is hereby notified that information has been received from the Secre- tary of State for the Colonics that the Government of Uruguay have given notice of their intention to withdraw from the Commercial Treaty concluded with that Government in 1885 and that the Treaty will accordingly expire on the 17th December, 1915.
