The Governor recommends the Council to vote a sum of Sixteen thou- sand eight hundred and ninety-one Dollars and forty-seven Cents ($16,891.47) in aid of the vote, Military Expenditure, Expenses of Volun- teers-Other Charges, Rifles and Equipment.

GENERAL LOAN AND INSCRIBED STOCK (AMENDMENT) BILL.-The Attorney General moved the first reading of a Bill entitled An Ordinance to amend The General Loan and Inscribed Stock Ordinance, 1893.

His Excellency the Governor addressed the Council. Question-put and agreed to.
Bill read a first time.
The Attorney General moved the suspension of the Standing Orders so that the Bill may be read a second time.
The Colonial Secretary seconded. Question-put and agreed to.

Council in Committee on the Bill.
Council resumed, and Bill reported without amendment.
After some discussion,
The Attorney General moved the third reading of the Bill.
The Colonial Secretary seconded.
Mr. SHEWAN objected, but after some discussion the objection was withdrawn. Question-put and agreed to.
Bill read a third time.
Question put-that this Bill do pass.
Bill passed.
ADJOURNMENT.--The Council then adjourned until after the meeting of the Finance Committee, and on the Council resuming, the Colonial Secretary reported that Financial Minutes Nos. 58 to 61 had been considered by the Finance Committee and that the recommendations.had been approved.
REPORT OF THE FINANCE COMMITTEE.-The Colonial Secretary, by command of His Excellency the Governor, laid on the table the Report of the Finance Com- mittee, dated the 7th December, 1905, and moved its adoption.
The Colonial Treasurer seconded.

ADJOURNMENT.--The Council then adjourned sine die.
