6. The prices of provisions imported from countries other than
China (excepting those above enumerated) may not be
raised more than 15% above the retail prices prevailing in
the Colony on the 25th July, 1914.

NOTE. In consideration of the loss sustained by discount on sub- sidiary coinage, payment for all articles of food not exceeding $2 in value (excepting the articles enumerated in Clause 5) shall if made in subsidiary coin be subject to an additional charge of 15%.

His Excellency the Governor has been pleased to appoint Mr. SAMUEL BURNSIDE BOYD MCELDERRY to be a Member of the Board of Examiners and to be a Member of the Sub-Committee for the examination of subordinate officers of the Police and Gaol in English, Chinese and Hindustani, with effect from the 12th February, 1915.
