With reference to Government Notification No. 839 of 1905, His Excel- lency the ernor has been pleased to grant local rank of Captain to Lieutenant C. H. COLEMAN, 5th Battalion Lancashire Fusiliers, from the 29th December, 1905.

No. 2. It is hereby notified that His Excellency the Governor has been pleased to appoint CHARLES HENDERSON. ROSS to be a Lieutenant in the Hongkong Volunteer Corps with effect from the 3rd January, 1906.
