NOTICES TO MARINERS.

CAUTION.

WHEN Submarines are taking in petrol or any petrol is being worked at the Admiralty Tank situated off the Naval Torpedo Depôt, Kowloon, 4 Flags will be placed on Buoys marking the Danger Zone.

No ship, launch, or other vessel shall pass to the Eastward of these Flags.

RUSSIAN COAST.

ON June 18th (July 1st), 1914, the lighting of the narrow passage into "Tikhaia Pristan" (Pacific Harbour) in the Gulf of St. Olga has been commenced, by two lanterns "Samosvet" 750 candle power on framework iron posts on Capes "Tchoodinoff" and "Portoviy".

RUSSIAN COAST.

On June 20th (July 3rd), the white flashlight of Jonquières lighthouse 209° S. direc- tion to Due harbour, has been substituted by a red flashlight, indicating danger from the reef of Cape Khodji for vessels approaching harbours Due and Alexsondrovsk from the South.

RUSSIAN COAST.

IN the bay Joulamon in "Slaviansky Gulf" two perches have been put up: the first on the southern extremity of the sand-bank which runs from the local cemetry at a depth of 15 feet and the second at the same depth at the north-east extremity of the sand-bank running from the southern shore (former infantry rifle range). The perches are put up exclusively for (guidance of) torpedo boats.

HARBOUR NOTIFICATION.

No. 6 of 1914.

Dredging Operations at Pootung Point.

NOTICE is hereby given that on or about the 23rd instant, by order of the Whangpoo Conservancy Board, operations for dredging at Pootung Point will be commenced.

While such are in process of execution steamers must not attempt to navigate the passage to the south of the Head and Stern moorings in the 6th, 7th and 8th Sections of the harbour.

Notice is further given that, in order to give free scope to the dredger, the tug-boat and mail-tender moorings on the Pootung side of Sections 6 and 7, as well as the several steam-launch moorings just below the Point, must be removed before the 23rd instant.
