NOTICE is hereby given that CHU KWONG LAN(朱廣蘭) carrying on busi.

ness at Victoria in the Colony of Hongkong and elsewhere, Manufacturers, have, on the 20th day of June, 1913. applied for the regis- tration in Hongkong in the Register of Trade Marks of the following Trade Mark :—

The representation of a Crescent and the name CHU KWONG LAN (both in English and Chinese).

in the name of CHU KWONG LAN who claim to be the proprietors thereof.

The Trade Mark has been used by the Applicants since the year 1907, in respect of the following goods

Ground Nut Oil, in Class 42.

Application for Registration of a Trade Mark,

OTICE is hereby given that the HOL- LAND CHINA TRADING COMPANY, of No. 16 Des Voeux Central. Hongkong, have on the 17th day of December, 1912, applied for the registration in Hongkong in the Re- gister of Trade Marks of the following Trade Mark:-

This Trade Mark consists of a banner and

above it the words "La Republica" on a scroll which is set on a striped background. In the middle of the banner and extending to the full breadth of the ticket there is a pic- ture of a pagoda and a Chinese City wall with watch-houses and under- neath this picture, the other part of the banner on which are some tobacco leaves with small flowers. The whole ticket set off by a golden line,

in the name of the HOLLAND CHINA Trad- ING COMPANY, of No. 16 Des Voeux Road Central, Hongkong, who claim to be the sole proprietors thereof. The Applicants disclaim the right to the exclusive use of the colours red, yellow, blue, white, black in the form on which they appear in relation to each other on the banner in the Trade Mark.

The Trade Mark has been used by the Applicants in respect of the following goods since the 22nd day of October, 1912 :—

Cigars only in Class 45.
