NOTICES TO MARINERS.

Admiralty Coaling Depôt, Kowloon.

REFERRING to Government Notification No. S. 58 of 20th February, 1912, it is hereby notified that the piles therein referred to are now being removed, and the extremity of the new Breakwater will for the future be marked by a red light from sunset to sunrise.

THE following, which is a precis of two Notices to Mariners issued by the Russian Authorities, is published for general information :-

No. 23.-PETER THE GREAT BAY.

It is hereby notified that, from the 2nd May, 1913, a number of Artillery shields, averaging 700 feet in length, will be erected across the mouth of Sukhodol Bay, commencing one mile and a half from Krasni Point; and that, from the 16th May, 1913, similar shields will be erected across the mouth of Slavianski Bay, commencing one mile from Gherasimova Island,

No. 24.-STRAIT OF TARTARY.

The Jonquiere and Kloster Kamp Lights, and the De Castries valvular lights will be lit at night from the 28th April,

1. An uncharted rock carrying about 10 feet with 7-8 fathoms around exists about 5 miles to the S. of Lem-Sing Lighthouse.

4. An uncharted rock carrying about 1 foot with 7 fathoms around exists in the channel between Ko-Paluey and Ko-Chuck 0.6 mile 138° from the S.W. Point of Ko-Taluey.

5. An uncharted rock which dries at L. W. O. S. exists in the channel between Ko- Satahip Noi and the mainland 4 cables 188° from the telegraph station at Satahip.-See British Admiralty Chart No. 3727.
