During foggy or thick weather, and in answer to a vessel's fog signal, one gun will be fired, and if the vessel's fog signal continues to be heard, the firing will be repeated after an interval of seven minutes.

NOTICE is hereby given that Ganryu-jima Lighted Buoy on N.E. of S. end of Ganryu- jima, W. entrance to Shimonoseki Strait, has been removed as follows :-

Position to about S. 7 cable from the former site.

Depth of water about 7 fathoms at L.W.S.T.

Magnetic bearings taken from the buoy :-

TEMPORARY LIGHT ON YAKU-SHIMA.

NOTICE is hereby given that, during repair of Yaku-shima Lighthouse N.W. point of Yaku-shima, Kumake, Osumi province, the following temporary light will be shown on the date about the middle of January, 1913 :-

Character-fixed white light.

Power :-50 candles.

Distance visible :-8 nautical miles in clear weather.

Height of light and illuminated arc are the same as those of the permanent light.
