(4) Multiple certificates of ten, one hundred and one thousand dollars may also be issued. A multiple certificate of ten dollars shall be the equivalent of two unit certificates and shall be repaid at the expiration of eight years from the date of issue with the sum of twelve dollars and sixty cents. A multiple certificate of one hundred dollars shall be the equivalent of twenty unit certificates and shall be repaid at the expiration of eight years from the date of issue with the sum of one hundred and twenty-six dollars. A multiple certificate of one thousand dollars shall be the equivalent of two hundred unit certificates and shall be repaid at the expiration of eight years from the date of issue with the sum of one thousand two hundred and sixty dollars: Provided that multiple certificates of greater value may be issued should the Governor in Council so think fit, but not exceeding the number of unit certificates which an individual is for the time being authorized to hold.

15. If a certificate is presented for repayment before the expiration of eight years from the date of issue but after the expiration of one year from the date of issue, increments as shewn in the First Schedule to this Ordinance shall be paid to the holder of the certificate.

The sum that will be repaid on a unit certificate at the end of each year after the date of issue up to and including the date of maturity of the certificate shall be shown in a pass book to be issued to each holder of a certificate.

16. The accumulated increment payable in respect of a war savings certificate issued under this Ordinance shall not be liable to any tax or duty levied in the Colony other than Estate duty: Provided that the holding of the person who is for the time being the registered holder of the certificate does not exceed the number of unit certificates which an individual is for the time being authorized to hold by the regulations issued under this Ordinance.

17. No power or letter of attorney or other such document authorizing any person to purchase a certificate on behalf of another person, or to sign any agreement or instrument required by the regulations under this Ordinance to be signed on purchasing such certificate, or to receive back any money in repayment of a certificate or of the incre- ment accrued thereon, nor any bond, statutory declaration, or other instrument or document whatsoever required or authorized to be given, signed, made or produced in pursu- ance of this Ordinance or the regulations made thereunder, shall be subjected to or be charged with any stamp duty charged or levied under the Stamp Ordinance.

18. Any documents and correspondence passing be- tween authorized persons or institutions under section 13 and holders of war savings certificates or other persons, in relation to such certificates, shall if transmitted by post be free of postage within the Colony.

19. (1) The Governor in Council may make regulations for the receipt, management, and repayment of war savings certificate.

(2) In particular and without prejudice to the generality of the foregoing powers such regulations may----

(a) prescribe limits of purchases;
