NOTICE OF FIRING PRACTICE IN ACCORDANCE WITH THE DEFENCES (FIRING AREAS) ORDINANCE, 1936.
1. Firing practice, as under, is notified for 3rd November, 1941-
(a) Light gun anti-aircraft practice at D'AGUILAR A.A. Range between the
hours of 9.30 a.m. and 12.00 Noon.
Firing Area "B" will be affected.
Alternative date-4th November, 1941.
(b) Light gun practice seawards between the hours of 6.30 p.m. and 10.30 p.m.
Firing Area "C" will be affected.
Alternative date-4th November, 1941.
2. Heavy gun firing practice seawards will be carried out between the hours of 9.00 a.m. and 4.00 p.m. on 4th November, 1941.
Firing Area "C" will be affected.
Alternative date-5th November, 1941.
3. Firing practice, as under, is notified for 6th November, 1941-
(a) Heavy gun anti-aircraft practice in the southern area of the Island
between the hours of 10.00 a.m. and 10.00 p.m.
Firing Areas "C" and "D" will be affected.
Alternative dates-7th, 10th and 11th November, 1941.
(b) Heavy gun practice seawards between the hours of 9.00 a.m. and 4.00 p.m.
Firing Area "B" will be affected.
Alternative date-7th November, 1941.
4. Light gun practice seawards will be carried out on 9th November, 1941, between, the hours of 10.30 a.m. and 4.30 p.m.
Firing Area "A" will be affected.
5. In accordance with sub-section 4 of section 4 of the Defences (Firing Areas) Ordinance, 1936, masters of ships and pilots of aircraft exempt from the operation of this Ordinance under section 10 as amended by Hong Kong Government Notifications of various dates, are warned to assist in the carrying out of the firing practice by hastening through the firing areas affected or by consenting to be towed out of the firing areas, if necessary, by any vessel acting under the orders of the Military Authorities.
