No. S. 435.-It is hereby notified that sealed tenders in quadruplicate, which should be clearly marked “Tender for the supply of Rations to Indian Police", for the supply and delivery of the articles therein mentioned as required to Police Stations from the 1st January to 31st March, 1942 inclusive, will be received at the Colonial Secretary's Office until Noon of Monday, the 10th November, 1941.
No tender will be considered unless the person tendering produces a receipt to the effect that he has deposited with the Accountant-General the sum of $100 as a pledge of the bona fides of his offer, which sum shall be forfeited to the Crown, if such person refuses to carry out his tender.
A ration consists of the following:-

The successful tenderer will be required to sign an agreement and to give security to the satisfaction of the Government in the sum of $500.

PUBLIC WORKS DEPARTMENT.
No. S. 436.-It is hereby notified that sealed tenders in triplicate which should be clearly_marked "Tender for providing and fixing Boundary Stones to lots and Boundary Posts to quarries, etc., and the fixing of Bench Marks and Picket Boxes", will be received at the Colonial Secretary's Office until Noon of Monday, the 3rd day of November, 1941, for providing and fixing Boundary Stones to lots and Boundary Posts to quarries, etc., and the fixing of Bench Marks and Picket Boxes in the Colony of Hong Kong, Kowloon, New Kowloon and the New Territories during the year 1942.
As security for the proper performance of the works under this contract, the successful tenderer will be required to deposit, in cash, a sum of $250.00 with the Accountant-General.
Any tenderer may be required as a condition of the consideration or acceptance of his tender to supply full particulars of the constitution of his firm.
A tender is received only on the condition that it shall remain open for acceptance
for twenty-one clear days after the date of its submission.

The Government does not bind itself to accept the lowest or any tender.
