BORNEO - NORTH COAST-TURTLE ISLANDS.

Existence of Shoal. ·

Position. Lat. 06° 07′ 20′′N., long. 118° 12′ 34′′ E.

Details.-A recent survey in the vicinity of the Taganak Patches discloses the existence of a shoal in the above position, having 44 fathoms of water.

PUBLIC WORKS DEPARTMENT.

No. S. 412.-It is hereby notified that scaled tenders in triplicate which should be clearly marked "Light Keepers Quarters Lam Tong Island", will be received at the Colonial Secretary's Office until Noon of Monday, the 13th day of October, 1941. The work consists of the erection of a small block of quarters constructed in concrete.

As security for the proper performance of the works under this contract, the successful tenderer will be required to deposit, in cash, a sum of $500.00 with the Accountaut-General.

Any tenderer may be required as a condition of the consideration or acceptance of his tender to supply full particulars of the constitution of his firm.

A tender is received only on the condition that it shall remain open for acceptance- for twenty-one clear days after the date of its submission.

No work will be permitted on Sundays.

For form of tender, specification and further particulars apply at this Office.

The Government does not bind itself to accept the lowest or any tender.
