It is hereby notified that sealed tenders in quintuplicate which should be clearly marked "Tender for Repairs to Grab Dredger No. 2", will be received at the Colonial Secretary's Office until Noon of Monday, the 20th day of October, 1941, for slipping, repairing and painting Government Grab Dredger No. 2.
A list of work may be obtained at the Government Slipway, Yaumati.
The work to be carried out to the satisfaction of the Principal Surveyor of Ships.
A tender is received only on the condition that it shall remain open for the accept- ance for twenty-one clear days after the date of its submission.
The Government does not bind itself to accept the lowest or any tender.

NOTICE OF FIRING PRACTICE IN ACCORDANCE WITH THE
DEFENCES (FIRING AREAS) ORDINANCE, 1936.
1. Firing practice, as under, is notified for 13th October, 1941 :-
(a) Light gun anti-aircraft practice in the south-eastern area of the Island
between the hours of 10.00 a.m. and 12.00 noon.

Firing Area B" will be affected.
Alternative date-17th October, 1941.
(b) Light gun practice seawards between the hours of 6.00 p.m. and 12.00
midnight.
Firing Areas "D" and E" will be affected.
2. Firing practice, as under, is notified for 14th October, 1941 :-
(a) Light gun anti-aircraft practice in the south-eastern area of the Island
between the hours of 10.00 a.m. and 12.00 noon.
Firing Area "B" will be affected.
Alternative date-17th October, 1941.
(b) Heavy gun anti-aircraft practice in the Western Area of the Island
between the hours of 9.00 a.m. and 6.00 p.m.
Alternative dates-15th and 16th October, 1941. Firing Areas "D" and "E" will be affected.
