Pearl Bank Light.

Position.-Lat. 5° 50′ N., long. 119° 44′ E. (Approx.).

Details.-Pearl Bank Light was reported on the 19th September, 1941, as flashing

at eighteen second intervals.

PHILIPPINE ISLANDS-LUZON-ENTRANCE TO MANILA BAY.

Submarine Mine Operations.

Details. (a) There will be submarine mine operations at the fortified islands at the entrance to Manila Bay, throughout the month of October, 1941.

(b) There will be sea-coast gun, and antiaircraft gun and machine gun firing, from the fortified islands at the entrance to Manila Bay daily, except Sundays and holidays, during the period from the 1st to the 31st October, 1941.

(c) The danger area will be any point within ten kilometers (6.21 miles)

of any of the fortified islands.

(d) Vessels in the danger areas should conform strictly to the current instructions contained in the Notice to Mariners of 15th September, 1941, issued by the U.S. Coast and Geodetic Survey, Manila, or any subsequent modifications for operation of vessels in these areas, and also the Hong Kong Notice to Mariners No. 205/1941 of the 15th September, 1941, and any subsequent issues.

List of Approved Manufacturers in Hong Kong.

With reference to Notice to Mariners No. 4 of 1939, published in Government Gazette No. 3 of the 13th January, 1939, it is hereby notified that the firm of Cheong Kee 85, Lockhart Road, Wanchai, Hong Kong, is to be tem- porarily placed on the list of manufacturers of approved Kapok Lifebuoys.
