No. S. 399.-It is hereby notified that the following Sale of Crown Land by Public Auction will be held at the Land Office, Ping Shan, at 11.30 a.m., on Thursday, the 23rd day of October, 1941.

The Lots are sold for the term of seventy-five years from the 1st day of July, 1898, with the right of renewal for a further term of 2 years less 3 days at a re-assessed Crown Rent, Serial No. 1 as an Orchard Lot, and Serial Nos. 2 and 3 as Agricultural Lots, subject to the General Conditions of Sale published in Government Notification No. 364 of 1934, as amended by Government Notification No. 50 of 1940, and further subject to Special Conditions Nos. 1 (a), (b) and (c) in the above-mentioned Government Notification, and further subject to the Special Conditions hereunder specified.

SPECIAL CONDITIONS TO SERIAL No. 1.

1. Half of the arca shall be planted with fruit trees within 12 months, and the whole area shall be planted with fruit trees within 24 months, of the date of sale, to the satisfaction of the District Officer.

2. Trees shall be planted not more than ten feet apart.

3. The purchaser shall pay the sum of $18.00 to the licensees of Forestry Lot No. 281 as compensation for pine trees growing on the lot.

SPECIAL CONDITIONS TO SERIAL No. 2.

1. Reasonable facilities for access to the "Tai Chong" and Kam Tap" on the lot shall be given at the Ching Ming and Chung Yeung Festivals to the persons entitled, in the opinion of the District Officer, to worship at the "Tai Chong" and "Kam Tap".

2. No cultivation will be allowed within 15 feet of the existing "Tai Chong" and Kam Tap".

SPECIAL CONDITIONS TO SERIAL No. 3.

1. Reasonable facilities for access to the grave on the lot shall be given at the Ching Ming and Chung Yeung Festivals to the persons entitled, in the opinion of the District Officer, to worship at the grave.

2. No cultivation will be allowed within 15 feet of the existing grave.
