NOTICE OF FIRING PRACTICE IN ACCORDANCE WITH THE DEFENCES (FIRING AREAS) ORDINANCE, 1936.

1. Light gun anti-aircraft practice will be carried out in the south-eastern area of the Island on 15th and 16th September, 1941, between the hours of 9.00 a.m. and 6.00 p.m.

Firing Area"

"B" will be affected.

Alternative dates-18th and 19th September, 1941.

2. Light gun practice seawards will be carried out on 16th September, 1941, between the hours of 9.00 a.m. and 3.00 p.m.

Firing Areas "D" and "E" will be affected.

Alternative date-18th September, 1941.

3. Light gun practice seawards will be carried out on 15th, 16th and 19th Septem- ber, 1941, between the hours of 6.00 p.m. and 12 midnight.

Firing Areas "D" and "E" will be affected.

4. 16th, 17th and 18th September, 1941, are reserved as alternative dates for heavy gun practice originally detailed for 9th, 10th and 11th September, 1941, between the hours of 9.00 a.m. and 6.00 p.m.

Firing Area "C" will be affected.

5. Light gun practice seawards will be carried out on 21st September, 1941, between the hours of 2.00 p.m. and 7.00 p.m.

Firing Area "D" will be affected.

6. In accordance with sub-section 4 of section 4 of the Defences (Firing Areas) Ordinance, 1936, masters of ships and pilots of aircraft exempt from the operation of this Ordinance under section 10 as amended by Hong Kong Government Notifications of various dates, are warned to assist in the carrying out of the firing practice by hastening through the firing areas affected or by consenting to be towed out of the firing areas, if necessary, by any vessel acting under the orders of the Military Authorities.
