No. S. 378.-It is hereby notified that scaled tenders in triplicate, which should be clearly marked "Tender for an Approach Road to Shing Muù Catchwater", will be received at the Colonial Secretary's Office until Noon of Monday, the 22nd day of September, 1941. The work comprises the construction of an approach road to Shing Mun Catchwater from Pineapple Pass Dam, 10 feet wide and approximately 350 yards. long in cement concrete surfacing and all other contingent drainage works.

As security for the proper performance of the works under this contract, the successful tenderer will be required to deposit, in cash, a sum of $500 with the Accountant-General.

Any tenderer may be required as a condition of the consideration or acceptance of his tender to supply full particulars of the constitution of his firm.

A tender is received only on the condition that it shall remain open for acceptance for twenty-one clear days after the date of its submission.

For form of tender, specification and further particulars apply at this Office.

The Government does not bind itself to accept the lowest or any tender.

No. 8. 379.-It is hereby notified that sealed tenders in triplicate, which should. be clearly marked "Tender for Re-construction of Kowloon Roads 1941-42", will be received at the Colonial Secretary's Office until Noon of Monday, the 22nd day of September, 1941. The work comprises the cutting of Tai Kok Tsui Road and Fuk Tsun Street and the re-construction of Jordan Road and parts of Gascoigne Road, Chatham Road, Salisbury Road and Prince Edward Road, together with all contingent works.

As security for the proper performance of the works under this contract, the successful tenderer will be required to deposit, in cash, a sum of $10,000 with the Accountant-General.

Any tenderer may be required as a condition of the consideration or acceptance of his tender to supply full particulars of the constitution of his firm.

For form of tender, specification and further particulars apply at this Office.

A tender is received only on the condition that it shall remain open for acceptance for twenty-one clear days after the date of its submission.
