NOTICE OF FIRING PRACTICE IN ACCORDANCE WITH THE DEFENCES (FIRING AREAS) ORDINANCE, 1936.

1. Firing practice, as under, is notified for 28th July, 1941 :-

(a) Reserved between the hours of 9.00 a.m. and 6.00 p.m. as an alternative

date for Heavy Gun practice originally detailed for 24th July, 1941.

Firing Area "C" will be affected.

(b) Light gun firing practice between the hours of 6.00 p.m. and 12.00

midnight.

Firing Areas "D" and E" will be affected.

2. Firing practice as under is notified for 29th July, 1941:-

(a) Heavy gun practice between the hours of 9.00 a.m. and 4.00 p.m. from

selected positions on the Island.

Firing Area "E" will be affected. Alternative date-1st August, 1941.

(b) Light gun practice between the hours of 6.00 p.m. and 12.00 midnight.

Firing Areas "D" and "E" will be affected.

3. Firing practice, as under, is notified for 30th July, 1941 :-

(a) Heavy gun firing practice between the hours of 9.00 a.m. and 6.00 p.m.

from selected positions on the Island.

Firing Area "C" will be affected. Alternative date-1st August, 1941.

(b) Light gun firing practice between the hours of 6.00 p.m. and 12.00

midnight.

Firing Areas "D" and "E" will be affected.

4. Heavy gun firing practice will be carried out between the hours of 9.00 a.m. and 6.00 p.m. from selected positions on the Island on 31st July, 1941.

Firing Area "D" will be affected.

Alternative date-1st August, 1941.

5. Light gun firing practice will be carried out on 1st August, 1941, between the hours of 6.00 p.m. and 12.00 midnight.

Firing Areas "D" and "E" will be affected.

6. In accordance with sub-section 4 of section 4 of the Defences (Firing Areas) Ordinance, 1936, masters of ships and pilots of aircraft exempt from the operation of this Ordinance under section 10 as amended by Hong Kong Government Notifications of various dates, are warned to assist in the carrying out of the firing practice by hastening through the firing areas affected or by consenting to be towed out of the firing area, if necessary, by any vessel acting under the orders of the Military Authorities.
