NOTICE OF FIRING PRACTICE IN ACCORDANCE WITH THE
DEFENCES (FIRING AREAS) ORDINANCE, 1936.
1. Light gun firing practice will be carried out on 14th July, 1941, between the hours of 6.00 p.m. and 12.00 midnight.
Firing Areas "D" and "E" will be affected.
2. Firing practice as under is notified for 15th July, 1941: -
(a) Heavy gun anti-aircraft practice in south-western area of the Island
between the hours of 8.00 a.m. and 6.00 p.m.
Firing Area "D" will be affected.
Alternative dates-16th and 17th July, 1941.
(b) Light Naval gun practice in JUNK BAY between the hours of 8.00 p.m.
and 12.00 midnight.
Firing Area "A" will be affected.
(c) Light gun practice between the hours of 6.00 p.m. and 12.00 midnight.
Firing Areas "D" and "E" will be affected.
3. Heavy gun firing practice will be carried out between the hours of 9.00 a.m. and 4.00 p.m. on 16th and 17th July, 1941.
Firing Area "C" will be affected.
Alternative date-18th July, 1941.
4. Light gun firing practice will be carried out on 18th July, 1941, between the hours of 6.00 p.m. and 12.00 midnight.
Firing Areas "D" and "E" will be affected.
5. In accordance with sub-section 4 of section 4 of the Defences (Firing Areas) Ordinance, 1936, masters of ships and pilots of aircraft exempt from the operation of this Ordinance under section 10 as amended by Hong Kong Government Notifications of various dates, are warned to assist in the carrying out of the firing practice by hastening through the firing areas affected or by consenting to be towed out of the firing area, if necessary, by any vessel acting under the orders of the Military Authorities.
