An Ordinance to amend the Prevention of Eviction Consoli-

dation and Amendment Ordinance, 1939.

Be it enacted by the Governor of Hong Kong, with the advice and consent of the Legislative Council thereof, as follows:-

1. This Ordinance may be cited as the Prevention of Eviction Amendment Ordinance, 1941.

2. Section 9 of the Prevention of Eviction Consolidation and Amendment Ordinance, 1939, as amended by section 5 of the Prevention of Eviction Amendment Ordinance, 1940, is amended by the substitution of the figures "1942" for the ance No. 14 figures "1941".

Objects and Reasons.

The Prevention of Eviction Consolidation and Amend- ment Ordinance, 1939, which was due to expire on the 1st June, 1940, was continued by virtue of the Prevention of Eviction Amendment Ordinance, 1940, until 1st June, 1941. It is considered desirable to extend the Ordinance for another year and clause 2 of the bill makes such provisions
