NOTICE OF FIRING PRACTICE IN ACCORDANCE WITH THE DEFENCES (FIRING AREAS) ORDINANCE, 1936.
1. Light gun firing practice will be carried out on 19th May, 1941, between the hours of 5 p.m. and 12 midnight.
Firing Areas"D" and "E" will be affected.
2. Firing practice as under is notified for 20th May, 1941:
(a) Heavy gun firing between the hours of 10.00 a.m. and 4.00 p.m.
Firing Areas "C" and "D" will be affected.
(b) Light gun practice between the hours of 6.00 p.m. and 12.00 midnight.
Firing Areas "D" and "E" will be affected.
3. Firing practice as under is notified for 21st May, 1941 :-
(a) Heavy gun firing between the hours of 10.00 a.m. and 4.00 p.m.
Firing Areas "C" and "D" will be affected.
(Alternative date for practice notified in 2 (a) above).
(b) Light gun practice between the hours of 6.00 p.m. and 12.00 midnight.
Firing Areas" “D” and “E” will be affected.
4. Firing practice, as under, is notified for 22nd May, 1941 :---
(a) Heavy anti-aircraft gun practice in the western area of the Island between
the hours of 9.00 a.m. and 6.00 p.m.

5. Firing practice, as under, is notified for 23rd May, 1941 :-
(a) Heavy anti-aircraft gun practice in the western area of the Island between
the hours of 9.00 a.m. and 6.00 p.m.
Firing Areas "D" and "E" will be affected. (Alternative date for practice notified in 4 (a) above).
(b) Light gun practice between the hours of 6.00 p.m. and 12.00 midnight.
Firing Areas "D" and "E" will be affected.
6. In accordance with sub-section 4 of section 4 of the Defences (Firing Areas) Ordinance, 1936, masters of vessels and pilots of aircraft exempt from the operation of this Ordinance under section 10, are warned to assist in the carrying out of the firing practice by hastening through the firing areas affected or by consenting to be towed out of the firing area, if necessary, by any vessel acting under the orders of the Military Authorities.
