NOTICE OF FIRING PRACTICE IN ACCORDANCE WITH THE DEFENCES (FIRING AREAS) ORDINANCE, 1936.

1. Light gun firing practice will be carried out between the hours of 6 p.m. and 12 midnight on 12th May, 1941.

Firing Areas "D" and "E" will be affected.

2. Firing practice as under is notified for 13th May, 1941: -

(a) Heavy gun practice between the hours of 10.00 a.m. and 4.00 p.m.

Firing Areas "C" and "D" will be affected.

(b) Light gun practice between the hours of 6.00 p.m. and 12.00 midnight.

Firing Areas D" and "E" will be affected.

3. Firing practice as under is notified for 14th May, 1941-

Light gun practice between the hours of 6.00 p.m. and 12.00 midnight.

Firing Areas "D" and "E" will be affected.

4. Reserved on 15th, 16th and 17th May, 1941, between the hours of 9.00 a.m. and 6.00 p.m. as alternative dates for heavy anti-aircraft practice originally detailed for 5th and 6th May, 1941, in the southern area of the Island.

Firing Area "C" will be affected.

5. Light gun practice will be carried out between the hours of 6.00 p.m. and 12.00 midnight on 15th, 16th and 17th May, 1941.

Firing Areas "D" and "E will be affected.

6. In accordance with sub-section 4 of section 4 of the Defences (Firing Areas) Ordinance, 1936, masters of vessels and pilots of aircraft exempt from the operation of this Ordinance under section 10, are warned to assist in the carrying out of the firing practice by hastening through the firing areas affected or by consenting to be towed out of the firing area, if necessary, by any vessel acting under the orders of the Military Authorities.
