NOTICE OF FIRING PRACTICE IN ACCORDANCE WITH THE DEFENCES (FIRING AREAS) ORDINANCE, 1936.
1. Firing practice as under is notified for 5th May, 1941:
(a) Heavy gun practice between the hours of 9.00 a.m. and 4.00 p.m.
Alternative dates-8th and 9th May, 1941.
Firing Areas "D" and "E" will be affected.
(b) Reserved between the hours of 9.00 a.m. and 6.00 p.m. for Heavy Anti- Aircraft gun practice in the southern area of the Island (originally detailed for 28/4/41, 1/5/41, and 2/5/41.)
Firing Area "C" will be affected.
(c) Light gun practice between the hours of 6.00 p.m. and 12.00 midnight.
Firing Areas "D" and E" will be affected.

2. Firing practice as under is notified for 6th May, 1941 :-
(a) Heavy gun practice between the hours of 9.00 a.m. and 4.00 p.m.
Firing Area "C" will be affected.
Alternative date-7th May, 1941.
(b) Reserved between the hours of 9.00 a.m. and 6.00 p.m. for Heavy Anti- Aircraft gun practice in the southern area of the Island (originally detailed for 28/4,41, 1/5/41, and 2/5/41.)
3. Light gun practice will be carried out between the hours of 6.00 p.m. and 12.00 midnight on 7th, 8th and 9th May, 1941.
Firing Areas "D" and "E" will be affected.
4. Reserved on 8th May, 1941, between the hours of 9.00 a.m. and 6.00 p.m. for Heavy gun Anti-Aircraft practice in the southern area of the Island (originally detailed. for 28/4/41, 1/5/41, and 2/5/41.)
Firing Area "C" will be affected.
5. In accordance with sub-section 4 of section 4 of the Defences (Firing Areas) Ordinance, 1936, masters of vessels and pilots of aircraft exempt from the operation of this Ordinance under section 10, are warned to assist in the carrying out of the firing practice by hastening through the firing areas affected or by consenting to be towed out of the firing area, if necessary, by any vessel acting under the orders of the Military Authorities.
