NOTICE OF FIRING PRACTICE IN ACCORDANCE WITH THE DEFENCES (FIRING AREAS) ORDINANCE, 1936.

1. Firing practice as under will be carried out on 7th April, 1941-

(a) Reserved between the hours of 10.00 a.m. and 6.00 p.m. in the southern area of the Island as alternative date for Heavy Gun Anti-Aircraft practice originally arranged for 31st March, 1941, and 1st April, 1941.

Firing Area "C" will be affected.

Alternative date-10th April, 1941.

(b) Heavy gun practice between the hours of 6.30 p.m. and 12.00 midnight.

Firing Area "C" will be affected. Alternative date-8th April, 1941.

(c) Light gun practice between the hours of 6.00 p.m. and 12.00 midnight.

Firing Areas "D" and "E" will be affected.

2. Firing practice as under is notified for 8th April, 1941 :-

(a) Heavy gun practice between the hours of 9.00 a.m. and 4.00 p.m.

Firing Area "C" will be affected. Alternative date-9th April, 1941.

(b) Light gun practice between the hours of 6.00 p.m. and 12.00 midnight.

Firing Areas"D" and "E" will be affected.

3. Firing practice as under is notified for 9th April, 1941: -

(a) Heavy gun practice between the hours of 9.00 a.m. and 4.00 p.m.

Firing Areas "D" and "E" will be affected. Alternative dates-10th and 12th April, 1941.

(b) Light gun practice between the hours of 6.00 p.m. and 12.00 midnight.

Firing Areas "D" and "E" will be affected.

4. Light gun practice will be carried out between the hours of 6.00 p.m. and 12.00 midnight on 10th April, 1941.

Firing Areas "D" and "E" will be affected.

5. In accordance with sub-section 4 of section 4 of the Defences (Firing Areas) Ordinance, 1936, masters of vessels and pilots of aircraft exempt from the operation of this Ordinance under section 10, are warned to assist in the carrying out of the firing practice by hastening through the firing areas affected or by consenting to be towed out of the firing area, if necessary, by any vessel acting under the orders of the Military Authorities.
