NOTICE OF FIRING PRACTICE IN ACCORDANCE WITH THE DEFENCES (FIRING AREAS) ORDINANCE, 1936.
1. Firing practice, as under, is notified for 31st March, 1941 :-
(a) Reserved as alternative date between the hours of 10.00 a.m. and 6.00 p.m. for Heavy Anti-Aircraft gun practice in the southern area of the Island for practice originally detailed for 24th and 25th March.
Firing Area "C" will be affected.
(b) Light gun practice between the hours of 6.00 p.m. and 12.00 midnight.
Firing Areas "D" and "E" will be affected.
2. Firing practice, as under, is notified for 1st April, 1941 :
(a) Reserved as alternative date between the hours of 10.00 a.m. and 6.00 p.m. for Heavy Anti-Aircraft gun practice in the southern area of the Island for practice originally detailed for 24th and 25th March.
Firing Area "C" will be affected.
(b) Light guu practice between the hours of 6.00 p.m. and 12.00 midnight.
Firing Areas "D" and "E" will be affected.
3. Light gun practice will be carried out between the hours of 6.00 p.m. and 12.00 midnight on 2nd April, 1941.
Firing Areas"D" and "E" will be affected.
4. Firing practice, as under, is notified for 3rd April, 1941 :—
(a) Reserved as alternative date between the hours of 6.30 p.m. and 11.00
p.m. for heavy gun practice originally detailed for 27th March.
Firing Area "D" will be affected.
(b) Light gun practice between the hours of 6.00 p.m. and 12.00 midnight.
Firing Areas "D" and "E" will be affected.
5. Firing practice, as under, is notified for 4th April, 1941: -
(a) Heavy gun practice between the hours of 10.00 a.m. and 6.00 p.m.
Firing Areas"D" and "E" will be affected.
Alternative date 5th April, 1941.
(b) Light gun practice between the hours of 6.00 p.m. and 12.00 midnight.
Firing Areas "D" and "E" will be affected.
6. In accordance with sub-section 4 of section 4 of the Defences (Firing Areas) Ordinance, 1936, masters of vessels and pilots of aircraft exempt from the operation of this Ordinance under section 10, are warned to assist in the carrying out of the firing practice by hastening through the firing areas affected or by consenting to be towed out of the firing area, if necessary, by any vessel acting under the orders of the Military Authorities.
