5. Firing practice, as under, is notified for 21st March, 1941: -

Heavy and light gun firing practice between the hours of 6.00 p.m. and 12.00

midnight.

Firing Areas C", "D" and E will be affected.

6. In accordance with sub-section 4 of section 4 of the Defences (Firing Areas) Ordinance, 1936, masters of vessels and pilots of aircraft exempt from the operation of this Ordinance under section 10, are warned to assist in the carrying out of the firing practice by hastening through the firing areas affected or by consenting to be towed out of the firing area, if necessary, by any vessel acting under the orders of the Military Authorities.

GULF OF THAILAND-BANGKOK BAR.

Light-buoys Established.

Former Notice.-No. 6/1941 (P) of the 6th January, 1941, hereby cancelled. Positions.-Bangkok Bar Lighthouse

Lat. 13° 26′ 30′′.8 N., long. 100° 36′ 16′′.3 E.

(1) Outer Light Buoy 219° distant 185 miles from the Bangkok Bar Lighthouse. (Lat. 13° 25' 06".3 N., long. 100° 35' 5".3 E.) (Approx.).

(2) Inner Light Buoy 012° distant 45 cables from the Bangkok Bar Lighthouse. (Lat. 13° 26' 55.3 N., long. 100° 36′ 19".4 E.) (Approx.).

Description of Buoys.-(1) Can Buoy painted red with superstructure for gas light. (2) Conical Buoy painted red with superstructure for gas

light.

Abridged description of lights.-(1) Fl. R. ev. 3 sec. 5.5 M. (2) Fl. ev. 3 sec. 7 M.

Details. These two Light Buoys mark the line of the dredger channel at Bangkok Bar, and are moored eastward of that channel at a distance of 229 feet from its centre line. The channel has a mean width of about 196 feet.

Caution.-(a) Sea-going vessels are warned to navigate within the limits of the

channel, and to pass westwards of the line joining the two buoys.

(b) Vessels navigating outside the channel limits may seriously impair

the efficiency of the channel.
