APPROACHES TO SINGAPORE.
Extension of Minefields.
Former Notice.-No. 55/1941 of the 28th February, 1941, hereby cancelled. Details. (a) The Eastern Approaches to Singapore Harbour and Roads are now closed to shipping by mines. All vessels are warned that when approaching Singapore from the East, and leaving for the East, they must keep Southward of a line joining Johore Shoal Buoy (Lat. 1° 18' 5" N., long. 104° 4′ 57′′ E.) and a position one mile due south of Raffles Island Light (Lat. 01° 09′ 35′′ N., long. 103° 44′ 30′′ E.).
(b) Vessels approaching Singapore from the West or leaving Singapore must keep Southward of a line joining Tanjong Paai-Sultan Shoal Light-No. 2 Beacon.
Note. (a) Entrance to the Examination Anchorage is through Selat Sinki.
(b) All other Entrances are prohibited and dangerous to shipping owing to
defensive minefields.
