OTICE is hereby given that Lever Brothers (China) Limited of

23rd day of October, 1940, applied for the registration in Hong Kong, in the Register of Trade Marks, of the following Trade Marks:-

in the name of Lever Brothers (China) Limited who claim to be the pro- prietors thereof.

The said Trade Marks have been used by the Applicants in respect of the following goods in the following classes :-

Trade Mark No. 1 in class 3 in respect of medicated soap for human use and in class 47 in respect of common soap detergents, washing powders, and other preparations for washing and laundry purposes.

Trade Mark No. 2 in class 48 in respect of perfumery (including toilet articles) cold creams and vanishing creams, and other such preparations for the skin, rouge, powder and all types of cosmetics, preparations for the teeth and har and perfumed soap.

iTrade Marks No. 3 & 4 in Class 47 in respect of common soap, deter- gents, washing powders, starch, blue, and other preparations for washing and laundry purposes.

The "Lever's Health Soap" trade mark in class 3 and the "Sunlight Soap" trade mark in class 47 and the "Lever's Health Soap" trade mark in class 47 and the "Lux Soap trade mark in class 47 are associated with one another and with Trade Marks Nos. 35 of 1905, 63 of 1906, 71 to 78 of 1930, 119 and 120 of 1935.

The Registration of the 'Lever's Health Soap" trade mark in. Classes 3 and 47 shall give no right to the exclusive use of the word "Health' and of the representation of a cake of soap.

The "Sunlight Soap" trade mark in class 47 is associated with Trade Marks Nos. 35 of 1905, 159A and 159B of 1888 and 185 and 186 of 1917.

The Lux Soap" trade mark and the "Lux Toilet Soap" trade mark are associated with Trade Marks Nos. 103B of 1900, 119 of 1906, 74 of 1922, 407 of 1929, 207-210 of 1930 and 306 & 307 of 1933.

In use upon goods covered by the specification other than "Soap the trade marks, namely (1) the "Lever's Health Soap" in class 47, (2) the Sunlight Soap " in class 47, (3) the "Lux Soap" in class 47 and (4) the "Lux Toilet Soap" in class 48 will be varied by the substitution of the name of such goods for the word "Soap" and the Chinese character (E) meaning "Soap ".
