NOTICE OF FIRING PRACTICE IN ACCORDANCE WITH THE DEFENCES (FIRING AREAS) ORDINANCE, 1936.

1. Light gun firing practice will be carried out between the hours of 6.00 p.m. and 11.00 p.m. on 3rd March, 1941.

Firing Area "D" will be affected.

Alternative date-5th March, 1941.

2. Firing practice, as under, is notified for 4th March, 1941 :-

(a) Between the hours of 6.00 p.m. aad 10.00 p.m. reserved as spare date for

Heavy gun practice notified as for 25th February, 1941.

Firing Area "B" will be affected.

(b) Light gun practice between the hours of 9.00 a.m. and 1.00 p.m.

Firing Areas "D" and "E" will be affected.

Alternative date-6th March, 1941.

(c) Light gun practice between the hours of 6.00 p.m. and 12.00 midnight.

Firing Areas "D" and "E" will be affected.

3. Firing practice, as under, is notified for 5th March, 1941 :—

(a) Heavy gun practice between the hours of 6.00 p.m. and 11.00 p.m.

Firing Area "D" will be affected.

Alternative date-7th March, 1941.

(b) Light gun firing practice between the hours of 6.00 p.m. and 12.00

midnight.

Firing Areas "D" and "E" will be affected.

4. Light gun practice will be carried out on 6th and 7th March, 1941, between the hours of 6.00 p.m. and 12.00 midnight.

Firing areas "D" and "E" will be affected.

5. In accordance with sub-section 4 of section 4 of the Defences (Firing Areas) Ordinance, 1936, masters of vessels and pilots of aircraft exempt from the operation of this Ordinance under section 10, are warned to assist in the carrying out of the firing practice by hastening through the firing areas affected or by consenting to be towed out of the firing area, if necessary, by any vessel acting under the orders of the Military Authorities.
