NOTICE OF FIRING PRACTICE IN ACCORDANCE WITH THE DEFENCES (FIRING AREAS) ORDINANCE, 1936.

1. Light gun firing practice will be carried out between the hours of 6.00 p.m. and 12.00 midnight on 17th February, 1941.

Firing Areas "C" "D" and "E" will be affected.

2. Light gun firing practice will be carried out between the hours of 6.00 p.m. and 12.00 midnight on 18th February, 1941.

Firing Arcas "D" and "E" will be affected.

3. Firing practice, as under, is notified for 19th February, 1941:-

(a) Heavy gun practice between the hours of 6.30 p.m. and 10.30 p.m.

Firing Area "D" will be affected.

(b) Light gun firing practice between the hours of 6.00 p.m. and 12.00

midnight.

Firing Areas "D" and "E" will be affected.

4. Firing practice, as under, is notified for 20th February, 1941 :-

(a) Heavy gun anti-aircraft practice between the hours of 10.00 a.m. and

6.00 p.m. in the south-eastern area of the Island.

Firing Area "B" will be affected.

(b) Heavy gun seaward practice will be carried out between the hours of

6.30 p.m. and 10.30 p.m.

Firing Area "C" will be affected.

(c) Light gun practice between the hours of 6.00 p.m. and 12.00 midnight.

Firing Areas "D" and "E" will be affected.

5. Firing practice, as under, is notified for 21st February, 1941-

(a) Heavy gun anti-aircraft practice between the hours of 10.00 a.m. and 6.00

p.m. in the south-eastern area of the Island.

Firing Area "B" will be affected.

(b) Light gun practice between the hours of 6.00 p.m. and 10.00 p.m.

Firing Area "C" will be affected.

Alternative date-24th February, 1941.

(c) Light gun practice between the hours of 6.00 p.m. and 12.00 midnight.

Firing Areas "D" and "E" will be affected.

6. In accordance with sub-section 4 of section 4 of the Defences (Firing Areas) Ordinance, 1936, masters of vessels and pilots of aircraft exempt from the operation. of this Ordinance under section 10, are warned to assist in the carrying out of the firing practice by hastening through the firing areas affected or by consenting to be towed out of the firing area, if necessary, by any vessel acting under the orders of the Military Authorities.
