POLICE DEPARTMENT.

No. S. 61.—It is hereby notified that sealed tenders in quadruplicate, which should be clearly marked "Tender for the supply of meals to Chinese Prisoners, Witnesses and Deportecs", from 1st April, 1941 to 31st March, 1912, will be received at the Colonial Secretary's Office until Noon of Monday, the 24th day of February, 1941.

No tender will be received unless the person tendering produces a receipt that he has deposited with the Accountant-General a sum of $25 as a pledge of the bona fides of his offer, which sum shall be forfeited to the Crown, if such person fails or refuses to carry out his tender, should the tender be accepted.

A meal will consist of:

(a) Prisoners and Witnesses.

8 ozs. White rice.

2 ozs. Fresh or Salt Vegetable.

2 ozs. Fresh or Salt fish.

oz. Oil.

4 oz. Tea.

(b) Deportees.

12 ozs. White rice.

3 ozs. Fresh or Salt Vegetables.

2 ozs. Fresh or Salt fish.

oz. Oil.

1 oz. Tea.

Tenders may be for the supply of meals to any or all of the undernoted Stations :—

Central.

No. 7.

Upper Levels.

No. 2.

Quarry Bay.

Shaukiwan.

Bay View.

Water Police. Yaumati. Mong Kok.

Shamshuipo.

Kowloon City.

Hung Hom.

The successful tenderer or tenderers will be required to sign an agreement and give security to the satisfaction of the Government in the sum of $50.
