No. S. 51.-It is hereby notified that sealed tenders in triplicate, which should be clearly marked "Tender for Chinese Cemeteries", will be received at the Colonial Secretary's Office until Noon of Monday, the 17th day of February, 1941, for the supply of labour and material for Chinese Cemeteries in Hong Kong, Kowloon, New Kowloon and New Territories from 1st April, 1941 to 31st March, 1942.
As security for the proper performance of the works under this contract, the successful tenderer will be required to deposit, in cash, a sum of $500 with the
Accountant-General.
Any tenderer may be required as a condition of the consideration or acceptance of his tender to supply full particulars of the constitution of his firm.
No work will be permitted on Sundays.
For form of tender, specification, contract and further particulars apply at this Office.
The successful tenderer will be required to sign a contract in the form supplied to tenderers.
The Government does not bind itself to accept the lowest or any tender.
The Government does not bind itself to place all work or any specific work required in the hands of the accepted contractor.

NOTICE OF FIRING PRACTICE IN ACCORDANCE WITH THE DEFENCES (FIRING AREAS) ORDINANCE, 1936.
1. Firing practice, as under, will be carried out on 3rd February, 1941 :-
(a) Heavy.gun practice between the hours of 10.00 a.m. and 4.00 p.m.
Firing Areas "C" and "D" will be affected.
(b) Light gun practice between the hours of 6.00 p.m. and 12.00 midnight.
Firing Areas "D" and "E" will be affected.
2. Light gun firing practice will be carried out between the hours of 6.00 p.m. and 12.00 midnight on 4th, 5th and 6th February, 1911.
Firing Areas "D" and "E" will be affected.
3. Firing practice, as under, will be carried out on 7th February, 1941 :—
(a) Heavy gun Anti-Aircraft practice between the hours of 10.00 a.m. and
4.00 p.m. in the southern area of the Island.
Firing Areas "C" and "D" will be affected.
(b) Heavy gun firing practice between the hours of 10.00 a.m. and 6.00 p.m.
Firing Area "C" will be affected.
(c) Light gun practice between the hours of 6.00 p.m. and 12.00 midnight.
Firing Areas "D" and "E" will be affected.
