Order.
WHEREAS by section 5 (b) of the Defence (Companies Temporary Transfer of Registered Office) Regulations, 1941, published as Government Notification No. 32 in the Gazette Extraordinary of the 9th January, 1941, as subsequently amended in December, 1941, it is enacted that the provisions of any Ordinance other than the Companies Ordinance, 1932, relating to any company which has been given a certificate. under the regulations shall apply to such company subject to such modifications as the Governor may by order direct :
NOW THEREFORE, I, Sir MARK AITCHISON YOUNG, Knight Commander of the Most Distinguished Order of Saint Michael and Saint George, Governor and Commander-in-Chief of the Colony of Hong Kong and its Dependencies and Vice-Admiral of the same, DO HEREBY ORDER that the Hong Kong and Shanghai Bank Ordinance, 1929, (Ordinance No. 6 of 1929) shall apply to the Hong Kong and Shanghai Banking Corpora- tion subject to the modifications set out in the Schedule to this Order.

Modification of provisions of the Hong Kong and Shanghai Bank Ordinance (Ordinance No. 6 of 1929) in relation to the Hong Kong and Shanghai Banking Corporation when it has been given a certificate under regulation 4 of the Defence (Companies Temporary Transfer of Registered or Head Office) Regulations, 1941.
(1) Section 2 (1) is amended by the deletion of the words the Colony ".
in
(2) Section 4 (2) is amended by the substitution of the words "directors, or the committee of local management in such place as the Head Office may for the time being be situated, or, if there be no such committee, then the committee in London for the words
shareholders by special resolution ".
