No. 1421.-fis Excellency the Governor has been pleased to appoint the following Committee to advise Government on any preparatory measures which can be taken and on the advance information which should be collected, for the purpose of facilitating the return to Hong Kong of the evacuated wives and childen of residents as soon as permis- sion is given for their entry into the Colony :-

No. 1422.--It is hereby notified that the charges made for cremation of carcases of animals by the Sanitary Department will be according to the following scale, with effect from 1st January, 1942:—
Horses, ponies and mules
$5.00 each.
Cattle
$4.00 each.
Dogs and calves
$1.50 each.
Pigs, sheep and other small animals
$1.00 each.
