5. In sub-section (2) of section two—

(a) the words the Governor by Order shall be substituted for the words "His Majesty by Order in Council ";
(b) the words such person as may be specified in the Order,' shall be substituted for the words a Secretary of State or the Admiralty";

COLONIAL SECRETARY'S Department.
In exercise of the powers conferred by the Emergency Powers (Defence) Acts, 1939 and 1940, as applied to this Colony by the Emergency Powers (Colonial Defence) Order in Council, 1939, and the Emergency Powers (Colonial Defence) (Amendment) Order in Council, 1940, and all other powers enabling him in that 'behalf, His Excellency the Governor amends the Jury Ordinance, No. 6 of 1887, by the insertion therein of the following section immediately after section 8-
SA. Notwithstanding anything contained in sections 7 and 8 it shall not be necessary in the year 1942 to form the lists of common and special jurors and to bring such lists into operation but the lists settled and brought into use in the year 1941 shall, unless otherwise ordered, continue in force until the respective lists settled in the year 1943 are duly brought into use.
