No. 1379. His Excellency the Governor has been pleased to make the following appointments-

Mr. QUENTIN ALLISON ASHBY MACFADYEN to be Deputy Controller of Labour. Mr. PERCIVAL EDWARD NETTLE to be Deputy Controller of Land Transport.

21st November, 1941.

No. 1380.-The Right Honourable the Secretary of State for the Colonies has been pleased to approve the appointment of Mr. THOMAS ARTHUR LAWRENCE CONCANNON, F.R.I.B.A., to be an Architect, Public Works Department, with effect from 8th September, 1941, inclusive.

Mr. CONCANNON arrived in the Colony on 14th November, 1941.

No. 1381.-His Excellency the Governor has been pleased to appoint Mr. KENNETH MYER ARTHUR BARNETT to be Administrative Assistant, Sanitary Department, with effect from 1st November, 1941.

20th November, 1941.

No. 1382.-His Excellency the Governor has been pleased to appoint Mr. JAMES REYNOLDS, J.P., to be a Magistrate, in addition to his other duties, with effect from 20th November, 1941.

18th November, 1941.

No. 1383.-His Excellency the Governor has been pleased to appoint Mr. HARRY ALAN TAYLOR, F.I.C., to act as Superintendent of Imports and Exports, with effect from 10th November, 1941 and until further notice.

20th November, 1941.

No. 1384.-In exercise of the powers conferred by section 6 (1) of the Currency Ordinance, 1935, His Excellency the Governor has been pleased to appoint Mr. HARRY WILLAM HAWKINS to be a member of the Exchange Fund Advisory Committee in place of Mr. DONOVAN BENSON, with effect from 21st November, 1941.
