ORDINANCE No. 38 of 1939. (ESSENTIAL COMMODITIES

RESERVES).

In exercise of the powers conferred on him by section 3 of the Essential Commodities Reserves Ordinance, 1939, His Excellency the Governor in Council further amends the Schedule to the said Ordinance (as amended by Government Notification $20 published in the Gazette of 11th July, 1941) by the addition thereto of the following items—--

6. Kapok oil.

7.

Cotton seed oil.

8.

Coco-nut oil,

ORDINANCE No. 7 of 1936. (QUARANTINE AND PREVENTION OF DISEASE).

Pursuant to Regulation 4 of the Quarantine (Measures on Departure) Regulations, 1939, published in the Government Gazette Extraordinary of the 28th day of June, 1939, as G.N. No. 522 and of other powers him enabling, the Governor in Council makes the following declaration :-

The declaration published as Government Notification No. 367 in the Gazette No. 24 of the 4th day of April 1941, regarding the application of the provisions of regulation 3 (b) and (c) of the said regulations to all passengers, vessels and aircraft leaving Hong Kong for all destinations, is hereby revoked.

NOTE: The effect of the above revocation is that until a similar declaration is again rendered necessary the requirements providing for the medical inspection of passengers leaving the Colony by sea or air and for cholera inoculation certificates are suspended.
