INSTRUCTIONS MADE BY HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR UNDER THE CIVIL DEFENCE CORPS REGULATIONS, 1941, PRESCRIBING TIE PERIOD OF ENROLMENT AND CONDITIONS OF SERVICE OF MEMBERS OF THE AUXILIARY QUARTERING CORPS.

1. These Instructions may be cited as the Hong Kong Citation. Auxiliary Quartering Corps Instructions, 1941.

2. In these Instructions-—

"

(a) "Corps' means the Auxiliary Quartering Corps; (b) "Commandant " means the person for the time being appointed by the Governor to the office of Commandant of the Corps;

(c) "Deputy Commandant means the officer who for the time being holds the office of Deputy Commandant of the Corps;

(d) "officers means the Commandant, the Deputy Commandant, Officer in charge of Quartering, Officer in charge of Movement, Quartering Officer, Chief Clerk and Secretary, Chief Quartering Inspector, Quartering Inspectors, Registrar, Movement Officers and Station Officers;

(e) "members" means all persons who are enrolled or appointed for service or who may be required to serve in the Corps, irrespective of rank;

(Corps equipment" includes steel helmets, respira- tors, accoutrements, badges, armlets and other gear and effects supplied by the Government and issued to a member of the Corps;

(g) "the period of the present emergency means the period ending with such date as the Governor may by order declare to be the date on which the emergency which was the occasion of the making of the Civil Defence Corps Regulations, 1941, came to an end.

3. The Corps shall consist of a Commandant and such Constitu- members as may from time to time be enrolled or appointed for service in the Corps.

"I have read or had explained to me the Hong Kong Auxiliary 'Quartering Corps Instructions, 1941, and I agree to carry out such duties, general or particular, as may be allotted to me by duly authorized officers of the Corps and to abide by the said Instructions."
