APPOINTMENTS, &c.

No. 1208.-His Excellency the Governor has been pleased, under instructions from the Right Honourable the Secretary of State for the Colonies, to appoint Miss MARGARET STEELE FRASER to be a Nursing Sister, on probation, with effect from 10th September, 1941.

8th October, 1941.

No. 1209.-His Excellency the Governor has been pleased to approve that Lieutenant CLAUDE AUSTIN be allowed to resign his commission in the Hong Kong Volunteer Defence Corps, with effect from 20th August, 1941.

ORDINANCE No. 32 of 1939. (COMPULSORY SERVICE).

The following persons, of ages from 18 to 45 years inclusive, shall, as from the date of publication of this list, be deemed to have been enrolled in, and to belong to, the Hong Kong Defence Reserve :-
