No. 1188. It is hereby notified that His Excellency Sir MARK AITCHISON YOUNG, K.C.M.G., has been pleased to accept the position of Honorary Captain of the Hong Kong Naval Volunteer Force.

No. 1189. His Excellency the Governor has been pleased to appoint Mr. PHILIP DANIEL CRAWLEY to act as Superintendent of Inland Revenue, Estate Duty Commissioner and Collector of Stamp Revenue on the 7th, 8th and 9th October, 1941, in addition to his other duties.

No. 1190.-His Excellency the Governor has been pleased, under section 3 (2) of the War Revenue Ordinance, 1941, to appoint Mrs. DOROTHEA EVELYNE MATHIAS, F.C.A., to be an Examiner, with effect from 1st October, 1941.
26th September, 1941.
No. 1191.--With reference to Government Notification No. 617 of 19th May, 1941, His Excellency the Governor has been pleased to appoint Mr. CHARLES COLLINGWOOD ROBERTS to be a Member of the Board of Directors to control the Government Rice Monopoly, vice Mr. WALTER HEATHCOTE LOCK, resigned, with effect from 26th September, 1941.

No. 1192. His Excellency the Governor has been pleased to appoint Mrs. CLEMETINA COCK to advise the Defence Secretary on the allocation of women to defence services, with the title of Organizer, Women's Section, Defence Services.
2nd October, 1941.
No. 1193.-His Excellency the Governor has been pleased to approve the following promotion in the Hong Kong Volunteer Defence Corps, with effect from 23rd September, 1941:
Regimental Sergeant-Major GEORGE HENRY CALVERT to be Lieutenant.
