And provided, further, that dismissal under this Instruc- tion shall be deemed to mean reversion to his former post in the case of any other member of the Service who is the holder of any other post under the Government of Hong Kong.

7. Every member of the Service shall be supplied with such equipment as may be prescribed by the Accountant- General with the approval of the Governor.

8. (a) All equipment shall be and remain the property of the Government.

(b) All equipment shall, when required by the Accountant-General, be produced or delivered up as directed by him.

(e) On the death, resignation or discharge of any member of the Service the person or persons into whose hands the equipment may come shall forthwith return the same to the Accountant-General.

9. If any member of the Service wilfully makes away with, pawns or wilfully damages, destroys, or negligently loses or unlawfully refuses or neglects to produce or deliver up, any equipment issued to him the value thereof shall be recoverable from him summarily before a magistrate by the Accountant-General or his representative.

10.-(a) In case of apprehended or actual attack on the Colony the Governor by order published in the Gazette may call out for actual service all or any members of the Service.

(b) Every member so called out shall attend such places and perform such duties as the Accountant-General, or an officer deputed by him, may direct.

(c) The period of such actual service shall end only by order of the Governor.

11. Every member of the Service when called out on actual service shall be entitled to such pay and allowances as may from time to time be prescribed: Provided that the holders of any of the posts mentioned in the proviso to para- graph 6 shall continue to receive not less than the emoluments to which they were entitled immediately prior to being called out for actual service.

12. It shall be lawful for the Accountant-General- (a) to make departmental orders as he may think fit for the carrying out of the routine of the Service and for regulat- ing the internal control thereof;

(b) to make such orders as he may deem necessary to make the Service efficient and so to maintain it and to see that such orders are duly obeyed;

(c) to take full charge of the Service when it is called out for service and to issue all necessary orders for the duties it may be called upon to perform and to take such steps as may be necessary to ensure that such duties are duly executed.

13. It shall be the duty of every member of the Service-

(a) to obey all lawful orders of his superior officer;
