10. Police (Militia Status) Bill.-The Attorney General addressed the Council and moved the First reading of a Bill intituled "An Ordinance to enable the Governor to confer by Proclamation on certain police forces in the Colony the status of militia in time of war.'

11. Betting Duty Amendment Bill.-The Attorney General addressed the Council and moved the First reading of a Bill intituled An Ordinance to amend the Betting Duty Ordinance, 1931, as amended by the Betting Duty Amend- ment Ordinance, 1940.”
