Order.
In exercise of the powers conferred on me by regulation 50 of the Defence Regulations, 1940, I, the CONTOLLER OF TRADE, with the consent of His Excellency the Governor, hereby make the following order-
1. The export from this Colony, except by licence under the hand of the Metals Controller or of a public officer authorized by him in that behalf, of unmanufactured, semi- manufactured and manufactured metals and alloys of every description, including ores and scrap, is hereby prohibited.
2. The order made by me and published as Govern- ment Notification 366 in the Gazette of 1st April, 1941, is hereby amended as follows-
(a) Categories VIII, IX and X are deleted;
(b) Category XVI is amended by the deletion therefrom of the following goods-
Ball bearings,
Dies,
Electrodes,
Machine tools,
Tinplate and black sheets.
3. For the purposes of this order, "scrap means the residue of metals or alloys remaining or discarded after such metals or alloys have undergone any process of fabrication or manufacture, and includes cuttings, croppings, punchings. turnings, drillings and filings, and any metals or alloys obtained in or resulting from the process of breaking up any machinery, vessel or article which is constructed wholly or partly of metal or alloy.

The order made by me and published as Government Notification 588 in the Gazette of 16th May, 1941, is hereby revoked.
