(3) For the purpose of these regulations and any order thereunder, currency shall be deemed to be transmitted for the benefit of an enemy if the transmission forms part of, or is directly or indirectly connected with, a transaction from which an enemy has derived or will derive any benefit.

5. Any order made under these regulations may be revoked or varied by a subsequent order made by the Governor.

COLONIAL SECRETARY'S DEPARTMENT.

In exercise of the powers conferred upon him by the Defence (Enemy Currency) Regulations, 1941, His Excellency the Governor, deeming that currency is being transmitted for the benefit of enemies from foreign countries to other countries outside this Colony, makes the following order-

The Enemy Currency Order, 1941.

1. This order may be cited as the Enemy Currency Order, 1941.

2. An appropriate officer or any person acting under his authority may, subject to directions of the Governor, seize in transit any currency which is being transmitted for the benefit of an enemy from any foreign country to any other country outside this Colony.

3. Any currency seized under this order shall be kept in such custody and for such period as the Governor may direct, and at the expiration of that period shall, unless the Governor otherwise directs, be forfeited to the Crown and disposed of in accordance with the Governor's directions.

4. In this order "appropriate officer" means any revenue officer, any police constable, any immigration officer, any assistant immigration officer and any other person authorized by the Governor to exercise the powers conferred by paragraph 2.
