Ordinance No. 10 of 1899.

COLONIAL SECRETARY'S DEPARTMENT.

Order.

His Excellency the Governor, being satisfied that it is expedient so to do, in exercise of the powers conferred on him by regulation 50A of the Defence Regulations, 1940, hereby orders and declares that every undertaking for the execution of any repairs whatever to or on board of any ship in this Colony or the territorial waters thereof shall be a controlled undertaking.

In this order "ship" has the same meaning as in the Merchant Shipping Ordinance, 1899.

NOTE. The effect of this order is to make the execution of all ship repairs subject to the directions, if any, given by the competent authority, in this case the Harbour Master, who is the Controller of Water Transport.

His Excellency the Governor has been pleased to appoint the Controller of Water Transport to be a competent authority for the purposes of regulation 50A of the Defence Regula- tions, 1940.

It is hereby notified that FREDERICK JAMES WILKINSON has been re-assigned from the Combatant Group to the General Group for Essential Services in the Hong Kong Defence Reserve, under the provisions of the Compulsory Service Ordinance, 1939.
