THE MAGISTRACY.
No. 563.-By Command of His Excellency the Governor, and pursuant to section 48 of the Dutiable Commodities Ordinance, 1931, an Election by the Justices of the Peace of a Justice of the Peace to serve on the Licensing Board for three years, vice Mr. GEOFFREY SAMUEL ARCHBUTT, J.P., whose term of office expires on the 16th day of May, 1941, will take place in the Council Chamber of the Urban Council on Wednesday, the 28th day of May, 1911, commencing at 4 o'clock in the afternoon.
The election will be conducted in accordance with the Rules set forth in Government Notification No. 838 of Government Gazette No. 40 of 26th July, 1940.
Forms of nomination may be obtained at the Magistracy, Victoria, Hong Kong.
Every nomination must be delivered to the undersigned not less than six clear days. before the day fixed for the election.
The only persons entitled to vote at the election are the unofficial Justices of the Peace.
Voting will commence at 4 p.m. and continue until 6 p.m. when the ballot-box will be closed.
