In exercise of the powers conferred by the Emergency Powers (Defence) Acts, 1939 and 1940, as applied to this Colony by the Emergency Powers (Colonial Defence) Order in Council, 1939, and the Emergency Powers (Colonial Defence) (Amendment) Order in Council, 1940, His Excellency the Governor makes the following regulations-
The Defences (Firing Areas) Amendment Regulations, 1941.
1. These regulations may be cited as the Defences (Firing Areas) Amendment Regulations, 1941.
2. Section 10 of the Defences (Firing Areas) Ordinance, 1936, as amended by the Defences (Firing Areas) Amendment Ordinance, 1936, is further amended-
in the first line
(1) by the repeal of the word “ vessel of paragraph (a) thereof and the substitution of the word "ship" therefor;
(2) by the addition at the end of the said section of the following--
"In this section the wordship' has the same meaning as in the Merchant Shipping Ordinance, 1899."
3. The Defences (Firing Areas) Ordinance, 1936, is amended by the repeal of the words fifty dollars" in the third line of paragraph (2) of section 8 thereof and the sub- stitution therefor of the words two hundred and fifty dollars".
