No. 373.-It is hereby notified that His Excellency the Governor has been pleased to appoint the Controller of Labour to be a competent authority for the purposes of regulation 73 of the Defence Regulations, 1940.

No. 374. It is hereby notified that His Excellency the Governor has been pleased to appoint a board to advise him in matters concerning transport and labour, to be known as the Transport and Labour Control Board.

No. 375.-It is hereby notified that His Excellency the Governor has been pleased to appoint the following persons to be members of the Transport and Labour Control Board:-

Brigadier ANDREW PEFFERS, O.B.E., Chairman,

The Controller of Water Transport,

The Controller of Labour,

The Controller of Land Transport,

Mr. CHARLES MANNERS, O.B.E.

Mr. MAXWELL GORDON GILL,

-and to direct that three members of the board shall be a quorum and that, in the event of equality of votes, the chairman shall have a second or casting vote.
