Order.
In exercise of the powers conferred on me by regulation 50 of the Defence Regulations, 1940, I, the DIRECTOR OF SUPPLY, with the consent of His Excellency the Governor, hereby make the following order—
1. Every person who on or after the date of this order has possession, custedy or control of any article specified in the First Schedule to this order shall deliver to the Director of Supply--
(a) forthwith, a return of the particulars specified in the Second Schedule ;
(b) before noon on the first day of every month, or if that day is a general holiday before noon on the first succeed- ing day which is not a holiday, a return of the particulars specified in the Third Schedule for the preceding month.
2. Returns shall be signed by the person required to make them and shall bear his chop".
3. Returns may be delivered by post to the Director of Supply at the Garrison School, Hong Kong.
4. The Directer of Supply may dispense with any return or allow delivery of any return to be postponed.
5. Every person, and the employees of every person, who deals in any article in the First Schedule shall, on demand by any person authorized in that behalf in writing by the Director of Supply, produce to that person any books, accounts or other documents relating to the article.
6. For the purposes of this order any person authorized in writing in that behalf by the Director of Supply may enter and inspect any premises in which the business of trading in or manufacturing any article specified in the First Schedule is carried on or any premises used in connexion with any such business or any premises which he may have reasonable grounds for suspecting to be used for the purposes of any such business or for keeping, storing or dealing in any such article.
7. In this order, person includes a firm and in relation to a firm required to make a return under this order means the managing partner of that firm.
8. This order shall not apply to any article held by or on behalf of the Crown.
